The Revenue and Customs Administration (AT) warned this Wednesday about some emails impersonating an organization to trick taxpayers into accessing malicious pages.

“The Tax and Customs Service (HAT) is aware that some taxpayers receive email messages supposedly originating from ATwhich proposes to streamline the payment of taxes by uploading an attachment, ”the department said in a widespread statement.

The AT says that the target is “convince the recipient to access malicious pages following suggested links” and that taxpayers “under no circumstances” should carry out these transactions.

“These messages are false and should be ignored,” the department stressed, referring to its information booklet on computer security, available on the Financial Portal.
