The National Federation of Teachers (Fenprof) is pledging to camp until Friday in front of the Ministry of Education as part of an initiative that starts Tuesday and aims to get guardianship responses to teachers’ demands.
After the deadline set by the trade union structure, teachers are ready to wait on the spot for the presentation of new proposals from the ministry related to the revision of the employment competition regime, the restoration of the frozen service time, the end of the assessment of quotas and the specific pension regime.
The vigil begins this afternoon at the Ministry of Education in Lisbon. On Monday, the strike begins, which, area by area, will cover the entire continental territory.
A string of district strikes ends with a nationwide demonstration scheduled for February 11 in defense of the profession, according to what has been announced by the trade union structure.
