Ten people were killed in a shooting at a Walmart supermarket in the US state of Virginia on Wednesday night, BBC News reports, citing police. An unspecified number of people were affected. CNN, citing a police spokesman, said the perpetrator was dead.
According to media reports, a man believed to be the store mager opened fire before turning the gun on himself. According to police spokesman Leo Kosinski, the attacker opened fire inside the supermarket and acted alone.
There are few details yet, police patrols went to the supermarket on Tuesday after 22:00 local time (today after 4:00 CET). But one of the policemen spoke of no more than ten killed and several wounded. Police have yet to release a motive for the attack.
