  • 100 g softened butter
  • 150 g cane sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1 pinch of salt

Ingredients for caramel sauce:

  • 80 g cane sugar
  • 30 g butter
  • 3 spoons of whipped cream
  • 3 tablespoons cogc or rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

1. Cut the dates into pieces, put them in a bowl, pour over hot black tea and let it brew for about 2-3 hours. Then grind them in a blender.

2. Preheat oven to 180°C. In the meantime, grind sugar and butter in a bowl, add salt, vanilla sugar, vanilla essence and eggs. Mix the resulting mixture with dates. To do this, sprinkle the sifted flour with baking powder and baking soda.

four. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Heat oil in a small saucepan, add sugar and half the cream. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Turn off the fire and let it thicken. Then add the remaining cream, alcohol and vanilla essence and raise the heat slightly. Cook for about 2 minutes until sauce is caramelized, then remove from heat.

five. Remove the baked carcass from the oven and carefully cut it into pieces. Serve warm, drizzled with warm caramel sauce. You can decorate with a spoonful of cream.
