The loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences in life. And if they are the breadwinners, then mourners have to deal not only with grief, but often with fincial problems. Blesk supports the EP Corporate Group Foundation, which helps these families. And now he’s issuing a grant request that has 100 million.

Supporting families who have lost their breadwinner is one of the main goals of the EP Corporate Group Foundation, founded by Daniel Krshetinsky.

Even adult brothers and sisters

Last year, he provided fincial support to several dozen families of the victims, totaling almost 35 million crowns. In 2022, the “We Can Do It” Grant Appeal was primarily directed at surviving parents or grandparents. This year, other surviving family members who have children in foster care will also be able to apply for the contribution. These are uncles, aunts or adult brothers and sisters.

Up to 24 months retroactive

Unlike last year’s call, when only families who lost a member within a maximum of 12 months prior to the application could apply for a foundation grant, this period is now up to 24 months. For the grant appeal “We can do it in 2023”, the foundation allocated an amount of 100 million CZK to fincially support up to 260 families for two years.

How to enter?

Interested persons can find all information about the grant competition on the website daceepcg.cz in the “Grant Competition” tab. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the applicant’s identity card, death certificate, birth certificate of children, a document confirming your relationship to the deceased, and proof of bank account ownership.

In addition, applicants must provide proof of their income for the past 12 months and the income of the deceased in the 12 months prior to death.

The call is open to anyone who has lost more than 40% of their family income due to the death of a breadwinner and who has not been prosecuted for insolvency or execution. In addition to housing and food expenses, families can use the fund’s contribution, for example, for psychotherapy or leisure activities for children.

“Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it, the EP Corporate Group Foundation team will guide you through the fundraising application process.” promises Jitka Prazhakova, CEO of EP Corporate Group.

Other projects

Like last year, this year the foundation will also continue to support community counseling centers for the bereaved, where people can take advantage of the opportunity for psychological counseling during this difficult period of their lives. The fund’s other plans for 2023 also include the launch of two funds – a scholarship fund for child survivors and a fund to support survivors of children with disabilities.
