According to police spokeswoman Simo Kishnerova, the attack took place on Wednesday afternoon in a village in the Uherskohrad region. It was assumed that the attack was preceded by a quarrel between two men.
“There, following a previous altercation, a 23-year-old man attacked his 47-year-old father with a kitchen knife, stabbing him twice in the upper half of his body,” the report said. Kishnerova said. She added that her father was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
“A young man is now suspected of attempted murder,” the spokeswoman added, saying that the attacker faces up to eighteen years in prison.
