Prague Stock Exchange Strengthens With Bank Shares Prague, March 30 (CTK) – The Prague Stock Exchange strengthened today. The PX index rose 1.18 percent to 1336.74 points. Bank stocks mostly helped the stock market up, but most of the major stocks improved. This follows from the results of trading on the exchange website.

Of the ten major issues of the Prague Stock Exchange, eight closed today’s trading in positive territory. It was the three banking issues that showed the highest profit and at the same time were among the issues traded in the largest volumes. The largest increase was recorded by securities of the Erste banking group, by 2.84 percent to 724.80 kroons. The shares of Moneta Money Bank rose by 1.44% to EEK 84.70, while the shares of Komerční banka increased by 1.42% to EEK 713.

The only issue that weakened today was Colt CZ, an arms company. They became cheaper by 1.71 percent to 575 kroons. Shares of pharmacy chain Pilulka stalled at 605 kroons.

The Czech currency has strengthened again against the euro and the dollar today. As of 17:00, the krone has appreciated five halers against the euro to 23.53 CZK/EUR and 21 halers against the dollar to 21.56 CZK/USD compared to the previous close. This follows from the data on the Patria Online server.

Founded in 2021, the beverage group draws in part on the pre-revolutiory popularity of Kofola.

Commercial Bank

A subsidiary of the French fincial group Société Générale.
