The mind remains above it. Ballet dancer Sergei Polunin (32) recently posted on Instagram a photo in which he has not one but three tattooed portraits of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The mind remains above it. Ballet dancer Sergei Polunin (32) recently posted on Instagram a photo in which he has not one but three tattooed portraits of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. At the same time, he himself comes from Kherson, Ukraine, and at the end of last year he announced that he would remove the tattoo with Putin.

“I decided to have my tattoos removed because I wanted to go back to my ‘clean seventeen year old self. To feel again what it feels like to have nothing on my skin at all. I had tattoos on my body for a very long time.” Polunin stated this in December last year in an interview with idnes.cz.

Putin and Ukraine on the same body

Not even a year has passed, but the reality is completely different. Not only did the tattoo not disappear, two more Putin’s heads were added to it. Polunin himself did not write anything under the photo on the social network, but a heated argument broke out in the comments. While the vast majority of comments condemn him, a small proportion support him and even try to defend him. His schizophrenic impression is crowned by a tattoo on his arm, which depicts the coat of arms of Ukraine.

In 2018, the dancer immortalized his first portrait of Putin. Then he received Russian citizenship. He originally wanted to quit dancing in 2012 and pursue acting, but that didn’t work out. So he went to Russia, where he continues to dance.
