The birthday boy walked past the guests at the birthday party and, passing by the legendary football player, enthusiastically said: “It’s the bomb, Tonda Doll!” But Panenka (74) was not alone there. Another famous footballer, “Czechoslovakian” Karol Dobias (75), scored the most of the two. Although he lives in Prague, he speaks his native Slovak language. When he took a sandwich, sensations spoke from him: “When you drink, you must eat.”
He supported the Czech Republic
Bozhen’s wife, with whom Golonka lived for 47 years, had to reveal what we do not know about her husband. “That he swears a lot on TV when he watches sports and politics. He now supported the Czech Republic during the U20 Ice Hockey Championship. And when they scored the last goal in the final, he cursed so loudly that he woke up his daughter, and she shuddered from sleep that he was scolding me. she said with a smile before her husband led her across the dance floor.
He played four times in his life
Golonk’s life could have been extinguished a long time ago. It’s been 62 years… “The year 1959 was coming to an end, and we flew with the team to Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. There were huge waves, it was impossible to swim, but the boys cheered me up. I jumped into the sea, and it immediately pulled me away from the shore with great force. I was rescued by the Coast Guard on a boat.” he remembers. And other turning points in life? “Then the wives pulled me out of health problems a total of three times. I first came alive thanks to the first woman who took care of me. And double thanks to my current wife, because I was already completely out of my mind, and without her I would not have coped.
So he introduced himself in the directory …
“At the age of seventeen, I suddenly accidentally got into the national team and flew to Stockholm. One of the players could not go for political reasons, and as a successful junior, I had a passport, so they took me. Well, I also scored a beautiful goal in Stockholm.” Golonka said about his representational beginnings for the website Paměťnároda.cz.
“I saw two two-meter Swedes, I weighed 68 kilograms, I thought to myself if I go there, they will break my bones, and I shot out of fear! It bounced off the shoulder of one of them, and suddenly everyone hugged me. I tell them why? And they: You scored a goal, pheasant! And that became the unforgettable foundation of my representational career, that’s when I decided to stay in hockey.” finished the Olympic bronze medalist with an unforgettable story.
