Tragic news has hit the world of mixed martial arts. A young and very promising fighter, Victoria Lee (†18) left this world prematurely. A promising career in MMA ended too soon, and the community mourns this unexpected and brutal loss.

Victoria has been part of the ONE organization since the age of sixteen, under which her older sister Angela also fought. She is the reigning lightweight champion and also won the lightweight and welterweight titles last year. Her second sister, Christiana, also competed in MMA.

Victoria made her professional debut in February 2021 defeating Sunisa Srisan with a successful submission. The Hawaii native has won all three fights since signing with ONE. Unfortunately, it won’t add more victory marks.

Victoria’s entire family was shocked by the sudden death, and Angela later said goodbye to her beloved sister via a heartbreaking Instagram message. “On December 26, 2022, our family went through something that no family should have gone through. It’s incredibly hard to say. Our Victoria is dead. She left too soon and our family has been completely devastated ever since. We miss it. More than anything. Our family will never be the same. Life will never be the same.”

“Victoria was the most beautiful soul that ever lived. She was the best nurse in the world. The best daughter, the best granddaughter and the best godmother/aunt of Ava and Alia. We miss you so much sister. More than you could imagine. We are all broken because there was a part of you in each of us, and when you left, those parts were taken from us. We will never be the same” she finished her touching confession.

According to MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin, Victoria was scheduled to face Zeba Ban at an upcoming ONE event scheduled for January 13 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The cause of death was not disclosed.
