The 307th day of the war is marked by the statements of the Russian Foreign Minister, who accused the United States of threatening to assassinate President Vladimir Putin. “Some “anonymous officials” of the Pentagon even threatened to carry out an “attack to behead” the Kremlin,” he said.
In an interview with the state news agency TASS, Sergei Lavrov warned that relations between Russia and the United States were in a “deplorable state” and maintaining “normal” relations with Washington was “objectively impossible.” The head of Russian diplomacy also said that the US and NATO allies want to defeat Russia on the battlefield in order to destroy the country. The goal, he justifies, is to “weaken” or even “destroy” Russia, sever its ties with Europe and make European countries more dependent on Washington.
This Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree banning the supply of oil and petroleum products to countries that have imposed a cap on the price of Russian oil, Sky News reports.
The measure comes into force on February 1 next year and should be valid for five months, until July 1.
