British King Charles III. in today’s speech to the deputies of the Bundestag, he described the relations between Germany and Great Britain as exceptional and stressed that the friendship between the two countries was very close to the heart of his late mother, Elizabeth II. He thanked the Germans for their condolences after her death. He also praised the unity in helping the attacked Ukraine and said that the war posed a threat not only to the security of Europe, but also to European democratic values. “Countless human lives have been destroyed, human dignity and freedoms have been violated, the security of Europe and our democratic values are under threat.
